You’ve probably heard of the Pareto Principle or the 80/20 rule where 80% of the things have 20% of the effector 20% of the things make 80% of the effect. As an example to the 80/20 rule, notice how you wear 20% of your clothes 80% of the time or how in many societies, 80% of the economy is owned by 20% of the people.

The Pareto Principle goes through all of life. It also applies to the four pillars of health for the Lifestyle Management of Psoriasis, which includes nutrition, environmental influences, mental state, and movement and mechanics.

One Pillar of Health Might Be 80% of Your Problem

The influence or impact of each of these four pillars of health isn’t equal and it’s certainly not the same for everyone. One of these pillars might be 80% of your problem.

For some people, nutrition is 80% and the rest is divided up into the other three pillars. For others, mental state absolutely is 80% or even 90%. Maybe your 80% is environmental influences dealing with toxins or harmful elements in your environment. Maybe you’re self-sabotaging yourself when it comes to making the choices that you need to make, so maybe it’s your mental state. Maybe your 80% is mental stress or your sedentary lifestyle. But while these are all possible scenarios, it’s usually nutrition and mental state that make up the 80% of the problem for the majority of psoriasis patients.

Following the 80/20 rule, we will tackle the 20% that yields 80% of your results under the Lifestyle Management of Psoriasis. You can really understand why that’s an important concept here because then we can focus on making effective changes to that 20 % that’s going to impact 80% of your health. You get the most results with highly targeted efforts.
